Dr. A. Scott Mollica
A. Scott Mollica, DC, ART, CSCS: Coach Mollica has been involved with the sport of lacrosse since 1986. He began his career as an all-state midfielder out of Chaminade High School in Mineola, New York and went on to play Division I lacrosse at the perennial powerhouse The Johns Hopkins University, where he played midfield and then became a "stand-out" long pole defensemen for the Bluejays. After graduating from Hopkins, Coach Mollica received his doctorate in chiropractic medicine and he currently owns and operates Long Island Spine & Sports Therapy, one of Long Island's premier "soft tissue" sports injury centers which is located in Massapequa, New York. During his early years in private practice, Coach Mollica became a certified strength & conditioning coach through the National Strength & Conditioning Association and in 2006 was named head strength & conditioning coach at Molloy College, Rockville Centre, New York.
D1 Advantage and the Game Speed: Lacrosse Performance Training Protocol has been a working model since 1990. With a doctorate in the field of chiropractic medicine and a specialty in active release technique therapy, along with a national strength and conditioning certification; Dr. Mollica has designed the most comprehensive lacrosse performance enhancement program that incorporates all the traits needed to become a successful lacrosse player. The Game Speed training program will develop a winning combination of dynamic flexibility, injury prevention techniques, core strength, game speed, lacrosse functional strength, and fourth quarter endurance. Coach Mollica utilizes his experiences as a Division I Lacrosse Player, Healthcare Provider, Sports Nutritionist, and NCAA Strength & Speed Coach to offer the most advanced training techniques that will improve any male or female lacrosse player at the youth, high school, college, or professional level.
